You Cant's Tell, But this VW Passat CC has 495-Horses Running Under its Hood
The most powerful production version of the Passat CC or its facelift iteration (renamed to CC) that is offered by Volkswagen, is the V6 model motivated by a 3.6-liter unit rated at 280hp in North America and 295hp (300PS) in Europe.
If you want more oomph, the only option you have is to check out at what the aftermarket industry has to offer.
One of the tuners that has come up with a power package for the Passat CC and specifically, for the range-topping VR6 4Motion (all-wheel drive) model, is Germany's MR Car Design.
At the heart of the kit is an HGP Turbo Upgrade, which together with an assortment of other modifications under the hood, boosts the V6's output from 295hp (300PS) to 495hp (502PS) and peak torque from 350Nm (258 lb-ft) to 700Nm (516 lb-ft).
MR Car Design then attends to the chassis with a KW coilover suspension, Stoptech ST-40 brakes, front and the rear stabilizers from H&R and, of course, a new set of 18-inch alloy wheels from OZ wrapped around in 235/40-18 sport tires.
Besides the new wheels, the only other exterior modifications are the new twin tailpipes for the custom exhaust system.
