Tokyo Auto Salon 2013 Singapore held April Upcoming

Singapore will hold the Tokyo Auto Salon on April 12 to 14 next. Titled Tokyo Auto Salon 2013 Singapore (TASS), a special exhibition of automotive vehicles and modified products, as well as workshops, will be held at the Sands Expo and Convention Center, Marina Bay Sands.

Tokyo Auto Salon in Singapore is the first in a 30-year-old Tokyo Auto Salon. According to a spokesman TASS Evelyn Quek, a prestigious exhibition for lovers of modified cars and motorcycles was held in cooperation with the Tokyo Auto Salon Association (Tasa), Japan with two of Singapore, MediaCorp and Muse Group.

More than 20 unique and best modified cars that appear in Tokyo Auto Salon 2013 in Japan will be brought to Singapore. Besides the exhibition modified cars, TASS will also be celebrated with various kinds of entertainment, such as parades Japanese racing girls, and artists J-Pop.

Alloy is recognized automotive entertainment committee will give special performances for visitors TASS.

Organizers optimistic TASS will suck 100 thousand visitors in a three-day exhibition. "For connecting Southeast Asia, Singapore is an ideal place to bring together businesses and consumers at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2013 Singapore," said the committee.

2013 Nissan Juke Nismo

First shown as a concept at the Tokyo Motor Show and first unveiled in production trim at this year's 24 Hours of Le Mans, the 2013 Nissan Juke Nismo has just had its first in-person meeting with the Autoblog team at the Paris Motor Show. While not quite as extreme as its Juke R brother – not having a GT-R drivetrain kind of takes the edge off – the Juke Nismo nonetheless kicks the standard car up a few notches to become even more of an enthusiast's plaything than a quasi-crossover.

With the laying on of hands from Nismo, Nissan's in-house performance tuning and motorsports arm, this Juke benefits from a host of improvements that up its performance game. The changes begin with a complete Nismo aero package that includes new front and rear bumpers, wider wheel arches, side skirts, rear spoiler and front grille. Eighteen-inch alloys wheels get tucked under those new fenders, while the interior benefits from a lavish swathing of grippy Alcantara on the new sport seats and steering wheel.

Nissan says that the Juke's direct-injected turbo 1.6-liter four-cylinder has been modified for Nismo duty, presumably for more power, though the company is still keeping tight-lipped about new power figures. The 1.6-liter as it stands in the base Juke produces a healthy 188 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque, but even if the engine weren't upgraded, Nismo has also addressed performance from a handling perspective by fitting the Juke with a stiffer suspension and revised steering, along with tweaking its traction control and torque vectoring systems.

Launching in Europe early next year, the Juke Nismo will then be made available in Japan before finally making its way to North America at a yet-to-be-determined later date. Pricing is still a mystery as well, but it's safe to say the Nismo will probably be at least a few thousand dollars over the standard model.

Next Subaru WRX previewed by Advanced Tourer concept

There was nary a peep of discontent about the looks of the Subaru Advanced Tourer concept revealed at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show. But when everyone was clamoring for Scooby to transfer the Advanced Tourer's looks to a production vehicle, never once did people ask for that transfer to be foisted on the WRX. A report in Motor Trend, though, says that's what's happening: the concept "was actually an early look at the next-generation Subaru WRX."

MT's sources said the front end Advanced Tourer's front end will go onto the WRX, with other aspects of the concept made more aggressive to suit the personality of Subaru's rally-ready racer. And if the concept also presages the next WRX's dimensions, then you can expect the next-generation sedan and hatchback to be larger (though in truth we don't anticipate a big gain in footprint).

Notice the name "Impreza" hasn't appeared anywhere in our discussion yet. Subaru is reportedly dropping the name in an attempt to get more 'Likes' for the WRX by making it more approachable, so the next model will relinquish its association with the Impreza line and be more performanced focused even as it is receives a better interior and is morphed into a "more-mature sporty grand tourer." Engine choices are still being debated for the car due in 2015; the rumored options include 1.6-liter and 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinders and a hybrid version of the 1.6-liter.
